Also, you could check out the Resonant Engineering RE 8, I hear it's an awesome 8 inch sub, and they go for about $70-$80 on ebay and would work very well in that enclosure.
It only takes 4 months to come in... also, a type r is an awful sub sealed, not to mention that is much too small of an enclosure for a type r, so that's not an option.
i disagree with you......the type r's are great subs. also they only need .70 to 1.00 cubic feet of air space. and i need a sub thats close to .68 so i dont know were you get your facts, but i do respect your opinion
