Hello all,

I have a dd 9515b dual 4 with no box that I need to trade off because I cannot get a 15 into the trunk of my car. I have been offered 2 mtx 8500 in a ported box, not sure of specs on box. What do you guys think? I have never heard the 8500's.

Meh

Sell the 9515 and buy two 9500 12's if you're going to go that route. They do okay, not half bad.

And yes, there is very similar/better for the cash

It's probably the factory mtx box for the woofers

I can make this sub fit but not with enough airspace to make is shine. The trunk opening is only 15" tall I would have to slant the sub I guess.

I have 2k watts rms to run to it to so I know it would do pretty good with the right box.
