I need help with my pioneer HU

I bought a Pioneer DEH 1400 I cant figure out how to control the bass and treble It has stuff I dont understand like FIE and SLA and the equalizer. I really need help...it could sound so much better when I figure this out. I want to turn the treble all the way up and the bass all the way down, and my crossover makes my subs hit hard so i turn the bass down so I can make my front speakers play higher. Can somebody please help me out. Thanks

i have a pioneer HU also. To change the bass and treble you have to use the EQ button and go to the EQ setting, thenpush left and right. You will see three different options, Lo, Med, Hi. They each can have a range of -6 up to +6. The Lo is the bass, and the Hi is the treble. Play around with the mid's to get what you want. Mine is set at 0.

Heh, mine's at +5 Hi, +4 Mid, and -2 for bass. Crazy, after all the sound deadening it seems I have too much bass, though I still want more at times.
