on my deck i can adjust the front/rear/subwoofer slopes.. i can set them at

-6,-12,-18,-24 db/oct

i have no idea what adjusting the slope does and googling it didnt help much.. can anyone explain it as if you were teaching it to a retard please?

so for example say i set my high pass filter for my speakers at 80hz..

that means it attenuates everything under 80hz...

if i set it at -24 db/oct it will attenuate faster than if it was at -6 db/oct?

is that correct?

Yes, the slopes are working in terms of X amount of db's per octave. So the higher the number, the steeper the slope.
