I need advice from the gods... ("experts" please)

Is it limited to 1 sub? Some classes are, if you are from up north I don't know those db drag rules... But a simple trunk setup that should do 150 would be 3 x 600rms 12's facing forward into the cabin (but box in the trunk) seal the trunk off so that only the subs and port are facing forward into the cabin of the car. 3 12's side by side like OOO[]

OK... LOL... I am not trying to be a dick about this because I am asking for help however I have had so many people say "you should run these subs or this many subs or face your sub this way..." etc...

in my very first post, It says what I have for equipment and that IS what I am going to run. It also says in order to fit the 18" I HAVE to face the sub UP unless I do a "trunk wall" which I am still looking into. I would just rather try a standard box and see if I am happy with that before I got too crazy. I appreciate the input, I really do but honestly like 85% of it has been completely useless to me.

It's just gonna be hard to get 150 out of the trunk on 1 18" sub that you cannot face forward with only 2k rms... I would like to see it if you can do it. Maybe a box that takes up the whole trunk and have the speaker and port facing up but closed off from the rest of the trunk by a huge funnel back to the back seat covering the entire space behind the seat and below the deck. Would be easier if you can face the sub forward and seal off the trunk, not sealing off the trunk = fail as far as I know when trying to put GOOD (like 150) numbers on the meter. Seen lots of guys try it and none succeed, all around 140-145 if they don't seal off the trunk.

That's what I said, and got bashed for it.

150 out of the trunk is not going to happen in this car. Caddys are built like tanks.
I think this will be going in the Supercoupe now since the cadillac is wrecked. If the cadillac is totaled I am getting a Jaguar X-type and I won't be putting anything more than some nice comps, head unit and may be a decent 12" on like 1Kw.... The Supercoupe has an even lower deck height but I can fit a much bigger box in that trunk overall. I have max dimensions of 36" wide, 45" deep and say 14" tall to make sure there is plenty of clearance... which gives me 10.86ft^3 gross to work with, I still have to do sub up though. If I end up not liking it I will see if I can trade it off for a nice 15" and do a trunk wall. I don't care much about this car like I did the cadillac so.

insurance adjusters are coming out in the morning to tell me whats up so... I might be able to start on this build this weekend a little bit. I will be running a dual alt and four runs of 1/0 (two off each alt) if I indeed put everything in that car. the passenger volume of the thunderbird is about the same as the cadillac though at 101ft^3 so it is still a pretty big cabin to deal with.

I just have to find the schematics for my 300A GM alt so I can wire it to work on the ford. It will be going in place of the A/C unit as I ditched that a long time ago. It has a 150A alt on it already and then the 300A I will be putting on it so that should be enough along with my pair of 93ah batteries.... I will update whenever I figure out what is going on for sure! I also have to get started on my slide this weekend though so...

To be honest, you could probably do a 150+ with 2 15s" and throw 2500 to each one of 'em.

You've got far more air space than I do and when I had my 6 CF box for my 4 12s" sealed, I was doing 145s sealed on the dash. Remember, that's a sealed box. I noticed no major difference in sound from firing back, to firing up. This is all in a Mercedes.

Seriously, 2 15s", 4.5 cubes per sub, subs up, port on drivers side or backward and a 5K watt amp. I'll BET it can be done.

Wait...your seats don't fold down...shit, just remembered this...

Well, you don't really care too much about this car you said, so cut out the entire back dash!

SuperCoupe has already been modded to a fold down rear seat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif got bored a little while ago...

Like I said, depending on what happens with the cadillac tomorrow I am going to try it out in the SC, 7.5ft^3net @ 32hz/40hz with about 120 sq.in. of port. sub facing up, port firing into cabin and I might try to turn it and have the port facing rear to and see what that does. Only thing is the only meter locally is a mic and I am not sure if they react the same as a T.L.?
