So my current infinity reference 5350A is going bye bye. It has been giving me trouble recently. No manufacturer warranty because I bought it off ebay. And the ebay store I bought it from doesnt exhist anymore. Luckily, I bought a 3-year warranty through squaretrade.

They are gonna give me 218 bucks for the amp (same amount I bought it for).

So I was thinking of getting another 5-channel amp. Or maybe a 3-channel if those exist because I dont plan to use my rear speakers anytime soon.

What do you guys recommend? My current amp gives my speakers 120RMS at 4 ohms bridged. They dont need anymore power than that. The substage is rated at 300RMS at 2 ohms. My current IDQv1's are rated at 200 a piece. It would be nice to have more than 400RMS so I could have room to upgrade in the future is I so choose.

I plan to screw it onto the back of my subbox. So it cant be too big.

Im thinking I will hook up my highs to my headunit for now so I can take time deciding what to do.

What do you all think?

I just found out why your amp stoped working................"I plan to screw it onto the back of my subbox."........................That is a BIG....NO-NO.......The subs will shake the amp to pieces and then it will stop working. Never mount your amp to the sub box.

Ohh nice. That amp would looks nice. The wattage for the speakers at 4 ohms though is quite a bit lower than my current amp. But Im sure it wouldnt make too big of a difference. Im not out for pure volume.

Any other suggestions guys?

You think thats the reason? I guess it makes sense. I find it interesting that it would have lasted 9 months in that configuration before it went bad. Hmmm. Would a rubber grommet work as a way to separate the amp from the box? Box mounting is by far by best solution.

I dont blast my sub hardly ever though. I use it more for evening out the low end.

Yeah it is a little low for the speakers. honestly running at 400w your amp will probably fine, and rubber in between would def be a good idea. Lots of people mount amps on their box.
