I need a good, REALLY shallow sub. please help...

agreed, get a koda 10" sub...
theyre flippin sweet
Yes, yes they are. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You could also look into running a pair of Extremis' 6.8 They are 3.88" mounting depth and don't require a ton of space to achieve mo bass....plus you have the beauty of the XBL2 behind it.

Also a price would be nice, since their website is absolute crap. Thanks for all the help so far.
Search for it...there's plenty of threads for RE prices. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You're welcome.

i have heard the SHALLOW audiobahn. I dont find anything wrong with it. It gets very loud but it may not have the sq that you may want. It needs the reccommended power or you'll burn up the voice coils like nothing. OVERALL, and "ok" sub.....imo

I like RE RE's, but Id chose IDQ's over them any day. IDQ's sound sooooo nice it should be illegal. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif A small array of IDQ 10's would be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif. Koda 10's.... Ive yet to hear them, but from what Ive been told, they are even more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif with their xbl^2 motors... but of course they cost about $250 so an array of them gets expensive quick.

i have a RE SE 10" that you could just plop in the seat next to you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

no seriously. where are your subs going? and what vehicle is this?

Its an '05 Chevy Crew Cab. I know, seems like there'd be a lot of space, but my only real option is behind the rear seats.

Why not under them?
That's where all the bolts are located to screw the seats into the chassi. It might be possible, but this would be my first box, and would require someone a lot more experienced. That being said, it looks like there is less room under the seats than behind them anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif .

Alright, I did some searching online about the re10 and found out the mounting depth for the prototype was 4.75 inches. Could someone confirm if that is the final measurement? That's the same mounting depth on the koda. Anyways, that would give me 1.5 inches of clearance. . I could get two re10's for about $120, or one koda for $230. Is it worth the extra money for the koda, or would I be ok with a couple re's and a buch of polyfill?
