I made a LOC diagram...

how bout i pulled out my GF's h/u to plug in RCA's....
I was stunned. It had wire nuts on it, a few of the plastic pieces rattled off, leaving the exposed wires covered with the little spring thingies. There was even two wires twisted together and crimped in one end of a butt splice. Her dad did it, and he works for the army as a civillian repairing Hummers. I wonder how many of them have broken down in iraq...

I promptly unplugged it and soldered everything together.

you do realize that wire nuts are a better connection than soldering right? but it sounds like he used the wrong size? because a correct size wire nut won't come loose for the break of day.
