the ISO is on auto, wth does that do? and the pics are alot clearer on my comp, but i upload them threw cardomain and it makes them smaller and more burly, but they are usally huge and clear

iso = film speed. higher iso means less light needed to shoot the picture, more resistant to image blur (zoom lens users usually use anywhere from 800-1600 iso speed film), but much more grain. lower speed film requires lots of light, needs a tripod, less forgiving, but will give you incredible results (most wildlife and macro photos are shot with low speed film, usually 32-100)

that must be one of thse miniature cameras, because that quality blows let alone for 5mp which is the level of some slr cameras.

That's a problem with digital. Run 400 and higher ISO's in film, you can get pleasing grain (like Tri-X, grainy, but pleasantly so). Digital "grain" from higher speeds looks like ***. And you can't over or underprocess it like you can film to compensate for it...
