I've plateau'd weight-wise, meaning I was at 203 around January 20th, losing about 26 lbs in less than a month and a half, and today, I still weigh 203, almost a month later. I haven't changed anything in the way I exercise or eat, so I am confused why it stopped all the sudden. I'm sure there is a reason, and I am no expert on health or exercise, so I could quite possibly be at a stage where I need to change up either my eating or exercise habits again, but I don't know exactly what those changes might be. I go to the gym just about every day, and spend about 30-35 minutes on the elliptical (started on the bike, then treadmill, now elliptical). I usually lift a little, but nothing regularly. So now that I have been going for a month with almost no results in terms of the progress I was seeing before with my weight loss, I am wondering if I need to do something different. My goal was to get to 180, then start to 'cut up.' I may be going about it wrong though. But the fact that I dropped a quick 26 lbs and have kept it off tells me I'm doing something right at least...
Liez about not looking it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI'm 6'.5" 298lbs, but I don't look like it.
Thanks, I'll check it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Any suggestions on how to lose more weight first before I really start lifting a lot? I don't really want to gain the weight I just lost... even if it is muscle. I'd rather lose the weight first then build muscle from there...Switch your routine up or get a completely knew one. You're going to platue on any routine eventually.
What I recommend for you is more weight lifting. You may gain weight but you will lose body fat. Check out Bill starrs 5x5 program.
Also, a good forum for weight lifting and over all fitness forum. http://www.Wannabebig.com
meh... im 6'1" 195 and trying to get to 230 by next football season, i wish it was as easy as it sounds tho220 is my goal by the time I get a degree.
Why? That seems a little ridiculous. Maybe you just hate to lift weights, I dunno I'm curious. You can actually lean out pretty nice with a healthy high protein diet. Thanks, I'll check it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Any suggestions on how to lose more weight first before I really start lifting a lot? Whatever, you know you buy the expensive **** rich kid..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifEhh, maybe I'm not looking at the price very well then. I'm sure at least one of the types of milk where I shop cost $5 a gallon. Maybe not the one I get though.
No I don't hate lifting at all... quite the opposite. I am just trying to slim down quite a bit from where I was. Before about 4 years ago, I was steadily around 180-185... I guess I wouldn't mind being a little heavier than that, but I don't really want to start at 203 and bulk up from there. I'm only 5'10"... I'm sure I could lean up quite a bit from where I am, but still a little heavier than I want to be I guess. You think getting up to 215 being 5'10" is a good size? I've always thought I should be back down around 185-190 ideally... everyone is built different I guess. Why? That seems a little ridiculous. Maybe you just hate to lift weights, I dunno I'm curious. What do you think about cottage cheese?
It's not like you are going to put the muscle on just as quick as you will the fat. Just start weight training. No I don't hate lifting at all... quite the opposite.
