I have a pair of audioque hdc312.

the box I made is 4.33cuft after all displacements. tuned to 33hz. with 60sq of port.

the amp is 2000rms.

I have a jetta, the subs are firing toward the back seat and I have made a board that seals the trunk from the cabin round the sub box. so you fold down my back seat and there is the cones.

with this current setup, it is not as loud as I would think it would be nor as musical as I would have liked,

before this current set up I had a single hdc3 12 off 600rms in a box of 2.34cuft and 33hz and the lows were better and the total sound was much more musical. with the old set up the sub was firing like normal toward the back of the car.

my voltage drop with the current 2000rms at stays round 13.0-13.2 with the 600rms amp I never dropped below 13.6

why cant I get crazy lows and a very musical sound out of the pair and 2000rms?

is it because have have them firing toward the back seat and I have sealed the trunk from the cab???

here is a pic of my back seat

or is it because I don't have enough cuft for the pair??

TURN THE FUUUCKING BOX AROUND!!!!! what is the fad that thinks sealed forward is the way to go ...ive tried it 3 diff times and sounded like azz with half.the output ..it doesnt work in every car ..and the loudest teunks in the world arent sealed off..load that bish off the trunk and if ur box is built decent it will sound 100x better

to me the box kind of sounds small. HDC3 subs like larger enclosures for most cases. thats only 2.17 cubes per sub...... i would have aimed closure to 5+cubes net.

see that's what I was wondering. but I have see so many cars with it firing forward and it was hammering, well in the morning I will try spinning the box round and seeing if that makes the difference.

If you liked what you had and wanted to double it, the thing to do would be to build another box that was exactly double the one you liked. That means double the volume and double the port area.... not length, for the same tuning.

You less than doubled the volume and from what I saw, it looks like you have the same port area for two drivers that you had for one... so the new box can't sound like the old, unless you set them both on fire.

I have yet to hear in person a sealed forward setup louder than mine firing back
