I just bought this High Output Alternator guys it worth it..check it out.

don't get all worked up about it because one person says they **** and you don't even know if he had any experience with it. although i would've looked at one with a higher amps at idle.
I've had two of their alts on two seperate customer cars. Both of them went within the first six months. Alterstart refused warranty service, claiming that the alts where not desinged to have a large electrical load applied to them on a regular basis, due to the fact that these were just rebuilt stock alternators.

I'm sorry but if you have a high output alternator installed, there are only a couple of reasons you would do it and both would be using the alt to full capacity. They make their money by refusing service.

I've got one of theirs after my auto zone crapped out on me after playing my stereo for 20 minutes straight. The alternator was running great charging my 4 channel before, but honestly went out in 20 minutes. I had the auto zone for over a year. Got one from alterstart and right now i'm trying to fry the alternator to send it back for warranty which I already done once bc I took it to a shop and they said with that small of a casing theres no way it put out 180 amps. So i sent it back and talked with them. They said even though there wasnt anything wrong with the first one. They would send me a new one. So dont worry about their warranty if you have issues.

im not sure but im under the impression that size doesnt exactly make a difference, or can "hold more" if you will. Thought it was all about the density of the coil windings. someone mind clearing it up?

I didnt say that, they did. They were stating that small of a casing would hold heat a lot and would burn out very quickly compared to a larger casing alternator like on work trucks and stuff.

If my alternator is bad I would be pissed. since I have to do a lot of work to get it out, and in the engine compartment you know the little civics have no room.

so hopefully everything works out good.
