I was at one time going to pick one up, seem to be very solid. I'm sure coma_toast/sound_around has used them.

Both of those you speak of are far beyond over-priced. $900 can get you almost double the power.

Id take the Sundown just for the price difference. You wont get much if any warranty on a 3000D anymore though

Quite a few floating around out there ~1 year old that still have a year left as well.

they are some SEXY amps but I would never pay that much for that little power... Now days there are WAY too many great amps putting out awesome power at INSANE prices IMO...

aye jacob how does the DA 2500 amp compare to a sundown 3000D?

From the DAT testing it appears to do similar power on a 12v system at 1 ohm +/- a hundred or two watts -- although, DAT does NOT suggest 0.5 ohm operation on 16v electrical systems, both of which the 3000D will handle quite well. I would stick with their recommendation not to do either of those things.

DAT is concentrating on the dealer market - so that is where their prices are targeted. I hear they have a competitor program, though.
