I have saggy man *****.

wtf could anyone do with your dl number?
Save it. Send it to a buddy Cop in the city/county where the Cop Bashing Thread starter lives. And, oh no... he could be ticketed for every little thing imaginable. There are many many laws that are broken, but rarely enforced.

Fail to signal, stopping on top of the white line at the light rather than behind it, tag lights, jaywalking, no headlight on a bicycle at night, left of center, fail to sign registration card, fail to carry proof of insurance etc etc

i know that there are places where they dont need a meter. the law states that its up to the cops discretion whether the music is too loud. i was lazy during my citations. i got 2 of them when i had my 2 15" sx's . law states here that music shouldnt be audible over 50' away. well the cop was a long *** ways away and i didnt even see him but he said he heard me before he saw me. either way, i think i could of fought both tickets since its not like he could physically measure the distance while im moving...
or maybe im just an idiot
The police cruiser is parked ---------> . (Point A for reference)

Cop states that you vehicle was approximately .

Do you think it would be so difficult to measure the distance between Points A and B???

You also have to understand that the cop has heard every BS lie from every low life scum in your town.
All 4 of them, huh?

We are talking about Kirbyville, TX after all...

Okay.

Here's my addition to this thread about some cops being lowlives. Thankfully, in my experience, they are the exception rather than the rule.

I used to drive a cab for a living. Because of the job I had being one of THE most dangerous occupations in the country I carried a gun on me at all times. However, this was before my acquisition of a CCW permit so I had to wear it in plain view as to not be in violation of the Louisiana statues governing such things.

There are certain places that you simply cannot carry a gun into by law if you are not a sworn peace officer (banks, schools, bars, liquor stores, any government owned/run building regardless of the level of government be it city, parish [county], state, or federal, etc) and all of these I am acutely aware of due to previous experience as a rent-a-cop and the associated classes for that.

So - I well know where I can and cannot enter when in possession of a firearm.

I had taken a break one morning about 3am to get something to eat and met my old lady that I had at the time and another cabbie friend there to grab a bite. Both me and the other cabbie were wearing guns. I was carrying a .40 caliber Ruger at the time and the other fella wore a S&W 9mm.

The place where we met to eat is a 24-hour joint that's popular with the college crowd (seeing as it is located almost directly across the street from a college) and other late-night folks alike which includes graveyard shift police.

While I was sitting there minding my own freggin' business and eating a steak sandwich these two cops stroll in. I took notice of them walking in but paid little attention to them otherwise and continued on with my meal and my conversation at the table.

One of these cops, a rookie fresh out of the academy, spots my .40 hanging off of my waist and instantly zeroes in and all but runs to our table. Upon reaching us he leans down, unclips the hammer strap on my holster, removes the gun, and tells me (and I quote), "If you reach for it I will kill you," loud enough for anyone within earshot to hear.

I looked up at him and say, "Ex-CUSE ME?!?"

Now please know that when dealing with the police for any reason and I'm actually in the wrong I am the most cooperative, polite individual you could ever hope to meet. If I'm being hassled because the cop is bored, however, and I know I've done nothing wrong I am a complete and utter jackass. I am far from stupid and am acutely aware of my rights and, consequently, when they're being trampled upon.

So Officer Dingbat says, "Sir, I think you and I need to step outside for a moment."

Me: "You know, I think you just might be right."

So, me, Officer Dingbat (hereafter referred to as 'OD'), and his partner step outside.

I get asked why in the world I'm sitting in the restaurant wearing a gun and I tell him because I'm taking a break from work and preferred to wear it in since it was completely within the law and I didn't want to leave it in the cab to possibly get stolen while I ate.

OD: "Oh - so you drive a cab, huh? Then where is it?"

Me: "You're leaning on it, fella."

(He had parked next to it and upon taking me outside and over by his cruiser he had leaned up against it not noticing what it was, I guess - though I have often wondered how you fail to notice a bright yellow car labeled "Yellow Cab" all over it from end to end)

So OD proceeds to tell me why we were even having this discussion in the first place because it isn't legal to have a firearm in a bar.

(//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif The restaurant I was in butts right up against a little hole in the wall bar which is owned by the same people who own the restaurant. It's physically in the same building but you have to exit one door and enter another to go from one to the other.)

I told him I was well aware but that I wasn't in a bar, I was in a restaurant and possessing a firearm in a restaurant is a completely legal action barring being told by the owners/management of said establishment that their policy is for no weapons to be within.

So he goes on to tell me the potential legal consequences of my actions and at this stage I'm simply pissed. I've done nothing wrong, I'm having to deal with a completely clueless cop who publicly threatened my life after taking away a personal possession, and now my meal is getting cold to top it all off.

So - I tell him I wish he would arrest me if he thinks I've done something wrong and once it goes to court we'll see what's what and which one of us is actually in the right here.

(By this time a crowd of the patrons in the restaurant has gathered outside because I was yelling at this stage in this whole stupid episode)

OD: "Sir, you need to calm down and watch your tone when you talk to me."

ME: "No, you threatened my life for absolutely no reason and now you're telling me you might arrest me for having broken no law! YOU need to carry your stupid *** back to the academy and actually LEARN the law before you attempt to enforce it. Furthermore I would suggest before this goes any farther that you call your supervisor to come over here and educate you on just exactly wrong you are before an incredibly stupid action costs you your job. Additionally if I really were here to perpetrate a crime of some sort do you think I would have been sitting there eating with my gun in plain site where anyone walking through the door as well as any and everyone already in the restaurant could easily see that it was there? Furthermore, you pinhead, you're so attentive that you left one in there!"

OD: "What??"

Me: "My friend who is still being allowed to have his meal is wearing a 9mm, you idiot."

OD then proceeds to go back into the restaurant and relieve my buddy of his piece then walks back outside.

Well, OD's partner must have thought the supervisor suggestion was a sound one because he, without any further prompting, did exactly that. Before long there were 4 regular cop cruisers with about 7 or 8 normal beat cops, two Sgts. and one Lt. on the scene of this macabre little opera.

So - the Lt goes over to OD and asks him what's going on and chats with him for a few minutes while I'm leaned up against my cab stewing. Said Lt. then walks over to me and asks me for my version of what happened. I begin to tell him what just happened with explicit and grim detail about the manner in which I was treated. I wasn't bothering to keep my voice down because I was so angry so OD could hear every word I was saying from where he was standing. I only got a minimal amount into the story to the point where I was told "If you reach for it I will kill you," and he chimed in, "I never said that at all!"

No sooner did that boldfaced lie fall out from between his lips that three of four people from the assembled crowd of restaurant patrons spoke up and said, "Yes, he did!!"

I didn't get to tell the rest of my version of the story because the Lt instantly went red in the face and turned to look at OD and asked him, "You said WHAT to him?!?"

So - OD tries to play it off as simply following procedure while securing a potentially questionable firearm.

Lt asks him if I was resisting or creating a scene of any kind when he said that to me.

OD actually admits that I hadn't been.

The whole scene changes at that stage as the Lt must have been seeing visions of the potentially ugly lawsuit looming in the very near future and walked over to OD's unit and retrieved both my .40 and my buddy's 9mm. He replaces the magazines that had been removed from both weapons and with a look of complete embarassment hands them back to us (as my buddy had come outside after his gun was taken from him) muttering something about being incredibly sorry for the treatment we were forced to endure at the hands of an obviouly overzealous rookie.

He then turns to OD and tells him that he is relieved of duty effective immediately and to hand over both his badge and his sidearm to the Lt.

Later on after having to be questioned by the Internal Affairs division of our local police department I found out that OD was placed on one month leave without pay and had to return to the academy to repeat the complete course before he would be allowed back on street duty.

OD quit instead. I hope he's working the drive-thru at a McD's somewhere now because that blemish on his resume will likely haunt him for the rest of his life.

Prowler,

Thats very sad that you had to go through that BS just because of a stupid a$$ cop. I hate 95% of cops, but I like the 5% that are good not because they let me off or gave me a warning, but because they are good people doing a good job.

OP,

A friend of mine had a system cut out of his car because the cop was in a bad mood and without any type of warning, had him get out of the car, and he cut all the wires to the amp and took the amp and subs (my friend got them back because the police around here either have to issue a citation or give you a verbal warning first which is recorded). I'm sorry to hear what happened, but take it to court and deal with it. Don't let them win.

I've never been pulled over for speeding or anything (one time because I wasn't paying attention and went over the white line.) but I've raced my friend up four lane streets covered with traffic and the numerous times I've sped through residential ares with my subs blasting. I'm stupid for doing it but I'm lucky I've never gotten caught.

Why would they cut the wires when it is far easier to turn a damn screwdriver? Who carries bolt cutters in their car?

I don't know about that one. I think I would have grounds to file a suit. I also keep copies of reciept/registration/etc just in case the police think it is stolen.

this cop once when my friends and i were taking an exit turns on his sirens, so we slow down and about to pullover. then all of a sudden we see him past us so we were thinking its something else, then he shuts his sirens off after he passed us. i hate douches in cop cars turning on sirens to speed. he scared the piss out of us cuz we thought we did something. not bad like yall but pretty aggravating.
