I have saggy man *****.

Did he measure the music level? (dB duh!) If he didn't he has no basis to cite you. It's like saying, yeah your music is loud...i don't know how loud but i'm guessing it's too loud so heres your ticket.
If he didn't, their is a viable way to get rid of the ticket...however if he did measure it then your screwed.

It happened to my friend once, he was speeding quite obviously (65 in a 25...yeah he's not the brightest). Anyway, the cop pulls him over and DOESN'T radar him to see how fast he is going. Needless to say he got it reduced from reckless driving because while he was speeding, they had no idea how fast he was going so they had to give him the minimum violation possible.

BTW my uncle is a detective, and he has taken down many a criminal. Some police are d***heads, however their are many who proudly do their job so lets not attack police in general, just the d***heads who abuse their power.
i know that there are places where they dont need a meter. the law states that its up to the cops discretion whether the music is too loud. i was lazy during my citations. i got 2 of them when i had my 2 15" sx's . law states here that music shouldnt be audible over 50' away. well the cop was a long *** ways away and i didnt even see him but he said he heard me before he saw me. either way, i think i could of fought both tickets since its not like he could physically measure the distance while im moving...

or maybe im just an idiot

Well your plea wasn't that great of an idea.
Driving a relatively new car with thousands of dollars of stereo equipment and you say you are broke.

I probably would have written the ticket too.
I know people who have 3 cars, a $250,000 house and are unemployed / broke. Does that mean they have a dime to their name? NOPE. You're a dumbass.

One thing about cops, after the first 10 seconds of talking to him he is iether going to give you the ticket or isn't, and their mind is set on that you can't change it.

So how much is the ticket, take it to court.

When I was in Daytona for SBN I got 3 tickets, none for speeding either. And one 2 weeks before that for speeding, Any ways I drove 2 n half hours to daytona just for court and got the tickets dismissed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Half the time they will throw the tickets out the window.

Fellas, take it from me, cops DO NOT need a meter and i highly doubt there is a single one with a mobile termlab LOL. If they can hear it, especially if its the usual 50ft rule, they will pull your *** over and ticket you and there isnt a **** thing you can do about it. Also, why should the cop give a **** about your money situation? Do you think people get tickets and say "no problem, i have the $300, why dont you make it $350 since i have cash to spare"........i dont think so. Everyone who gets a ticket is broke, at least they tell that to the cop so im sure he could care less. Dont get me wrong, i feel for you man ive been there more times then anyone in this forum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif **** it up and pay it, then be more careful next time or just leave it off.

This law actually gets me curious....

So, potentially a law officer could pull people over right and left and hand out tickets. Say, I got pulled over. I don't even have a radio atm...I would assume I would have a right to appeal. Then it is his word against mine. Shouldn't have to prove the relative loudness of the system?

it doesn't matter how many DB's you are hitting, it's if you are "disturbing the peace" if i go outside your window and yell "you are a dumb ****ing poor moron" my voice will hardly crack 100 DB's, but it's still annoying.

now the fact that you cried broke even made it worse. i mean are poor bastards suppose to be above the law because you are too irresponsible with your money? you are ****ing retard. pay your ticket.

You also have to understand that the cop has heard every BS lie from every low life scum in your town. After a few years of hearing all the **** lies you wouldn't listen either.

Don't blame the cop. Blame the 1000 previous liars he pulled over before you.

You can blame yourself though. You wanted attention and you got it.

Mother fuckin cops, I swear.. have no fucking compassion. I was rolling through town to pick up my girl from work with my system about 1/2 volume, which isn't that loud. With it being 10:00 at night, I wasn't going to wake everyone up anyhow. Anyhow I get pulled over by this fat prick, and I was explaining my situation to him which is; I got laid off from my job the 2nd of this month, and have less than $30 in the bank.. and can't seem to get my unemployment rolling.. anyways, he acted like he couldn't give a fuck less. I practically begged this fat bastard to let me slide.. and he refused. So this is my cop-bashing thread. I don't hate all cops, only the ones that are dickheads like the one in my situation. Feel free to add your own experiences to this thread.

how dare they give you a ticket for disobeying the law!!! those bastards.. i mean they know that you got laid off, and they should care! get real- stop being a dickhead at night and it wont happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I agree I shouldn't have had it turned up at all.. but the point of this thread is COMPASSION. Try to feel what your fellow human is going through and cut them some fucking slack. And to top it off, my brother used to be a cop in this town.. less than 6 months ago. He worked with the guy... and that didn't help either.
Do you have any idea how often they are told things like that? I know everyone likes to bash the cops, especially when they actually break the law and get punished for it. Just try and imagine what it must be like to pull a car over at night and the driver/ car looks to be of thug/ ghetto quality. I know your situation was not like that but I'm sure over time they develop a certain attitude. I like most have not always been honest and I can look back at everytime I was pulled over. I was always at fault except for one time out of maybe 30. The only time I was pulled over unjustly I would say is because I was driving through a small town in my loud (exhaust dumped because I raced it) Mustang and looked like a punk. The cop pulled me over and then let me go after I gave consent to search my car. That is all he wanted to do and he was extremely nice the whole time. I looked like I would be up to no good and almost deserved that. He was just protecting his little town. Don't say that is racial profiling or whatever you want to call it. If you look like your up to no good, then it's your fault. People don't have to be covered in tattoo's, wear clothes that are 5 sizes to big and ect... It is your choice and live w/ the consequences.

I know people who have 3 cars, a $250,000 house and are unemployed / broke. Does that mean they have a dime to their name? NOPE. You're a dumbass.
Then those people are idiots for not managing their money/ priorities correctly. Technically they do have a dime to their name but it's all invested in crap they can't afford or need.

Im afraid Im not following that line of reasoning either. If they own all that crap, they cannot say they do not have a dime to their name. The implication originally was if the OP was so broke, he could have sold his stereo, down graded cars, etc... as the cop saw it. The same applies to your example. If someone owns a quarter million dollar house and go 'broke', they start selling stuff.

I think your definition of broke and mine are different. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
