The town of Kirbyville is to small to have any kind of sound measuring meter in the patrol cars.. He was on the edge of the road, in a car lot, blending in with the windows down.

an FHP officer just moved into my neighborhood. must be pretty high up, hes got a brand new expedition with all kinds of shit on it. takin my girlfriend home everyday id have the system goin, i dropped her off, was pull out, saw him run to his truck, so i took all the backroads through my neighborhood making sure he didnt follow me. 2 streets from home, i look in the rearview, no one there. thought "hahahaha, i outsmarted that prick!!" look in the rearview again, mirror full of a hood with FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL across the front. SHIT! he was just like, i moved here to get away from that crap, it sounds good and i think car audio is awesome and i dont care what you do, but quit shaking my pictures on the wall as you go by my house.

the cop has the right to "guess" not at the volume of your music but at the fact it was just too loud for him "a reasonable person" he as a person thought it was too loud, thats all he needs. it sucks, but its the power given to police just wish they hired better cops.

I'm guessing the ordinance is based upon being able to hear it from a certain distance, like 75' or whatever and he was able to hear it, so that's his evidence. Just like if he saw a shooting or whatever.

It sucks you got a ticket and the cop was a prick, but I can't feel compassion for you as you did it to yourself.

I street raced for 25 years and have had more than my share of prick cops in my face, but it was MY doing that got them there in the first place.

I even outran one several years back and about 6 hours later he found my car and then me and he was NOT happy, now talk about a prick cop. Got 11 tickets for that one. LOL
