I Have Gone Crazy???

guyz i am frustrated to complete my system. A great reason of Frustration is that there aren't any shop to hear the brands that i am looking into and you know how other generic stuff sound, so i have choosen SUBS for my system but yet can't decide what components to go for?? I wish to have smooth Highs and tight mids which can stand upto (2) 10 RLis in the trunk of my car. my budged is upto $ 350 for Comps. So far my list has

RAINBOW SLC

CMX

FOCAL 165KF

i don't know what else i could do, but i am sure that i have to make my mind today for speakers and thats it. plz plz let me know what comps are best to play smooth highs and can get really loud with minimal distortion. i am counting on YOU experts there.

im definitely far from an expert but ive compared my powerbass comps to much more pricey focals and i liked my system better

but hell, there are so many variances there so that probably doesnt mean much

The MT22 tweet on the morel DoTechs would be a bit larger format and smoother than the SLC CAL2045, but I think would be a loss compared to the infamous CAL25 included with the CMXs. I used the DoTechs for comparison, as thats the highest set that would fit within your budget.

The Focals need quite a bit of tuning to tame em, unless your looking for utter brightness.

I know my Morels didn't work well in an IB set-up...will you be putting the mids in the doors or sealed kicks? If the doors...extna!!!!

I also don't like the "utter" harsh tweeter of the Focals either. I had Utopias.

Where can I find info on the CMX's I am looking into componets as well. I kind of like the Rainbow SLC, and the CDT HD's. Would like to see the CMX's.
