i have an idea that mite work.i own a tacoma double cab and there is only enough room for 8s behind the ream seats and i want to be louder than 8s. so i was thinking bout getting a camper cover and building a box in the bed and leaving the split rear window open. this box cant be bigger than bout 43 long by 18 deep by 16 high. it would be either 2 12s or 15s facing up with the port up as well. will there be plenty of bass goin into the cab if i do this? thanks guys

Don't put the box in the back.

I don't think you've ever heard a proper high-excursion 8" install if you say you want to be "louder than 8's". //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif There are some 8" drivers on the market now that will embarrass 12" drivers.

but thats the thing, i cant fit them i have 8 inches of depth behind the seats

8" of depth is plenty...

yeah dont put them in the back. it will just end up rattling big time.

I seen tacomas where they lift the back seats a couple of inches and then laying a sealed or maybe even a ported right under the seats. I heard it costs a bit too much having this done but it seems worth it for these kinds of trucks.

ok ive measured i have about 5 maybe 5.5 inches of mounting depth. if someone can find me subs that can out proform the two audiobahn 12s i had in both SQ and SPL then i will forget about the box in the bed idea, and with the raising seats idea that wouldnt work becuase poeple sit back there and id have to raise it up alot. but im open to anything so give ur opinion thanks guys
