is there anyone here who's first language isnt english? like chinese or spanish or something, but still speaks the english language fluently..b/c i was thinking, "what language would they think in"

My dad was born in Cuba, he said he used to think in spanish, but now after being in the states for 40 years, English is number 1.

I worked for a married couple once that the husband was from here but the wife was from Thailand. She speaks, reads, writes English just fine (with a rather stiff accent, obviously).
I asked her that same question once - when you're pondering things to yourself in your head what language do you do it in?

She told me more often than not it would be in Thai since that's what she learned first as she grew up.
