I have a ? about one of Moe Lester's Box Plans

I am going to bild this box http://img30.imageshack.us/my.php?image=35cubes30hz465sqin0cb.png for my db-500's I cald tc-sounds and they sed that box will work but when I went to make my cuts I dont think the plan is right it cals for the port,sides and front and back to be cut at 15.5"tall and when you put the top and bottom on the box it will be 17.25" tall and the plan sed it will be 15.5" is this right or is the plan no good I have a max hite of 16" to work with so if I have to make it 17.25" it wont fit and if I cut the port,sides and front and back 13.75" to get the 15.5" that the plan calls for how will this change the tuing of the box and I know I cant spell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

A few other people, including myself had problems with one of his box designs. We always seemed to be short or have too much in some area or another. Don't follow that actual diagram as to which boards go inside/outside of one another, use yours eyes and math to figure that out. That seemed to be the problem with the one I built.
