I feel ya! Lost a battery last night which doesn't compare but still.

I know the feeling. I lost over 7500 from audio to rims and they totally ruined my car. One way I have learned to protect my car. Watch were you bump it and don't go deckin' your ride out from top to bottom. Been fine for 4 plus years now.

I didn't read the whole thread, but something seems fishy. On your way home from picking up your new, and expensive, stereo equipment... you get a call to go hang out in a dark parking lot, that presumably other people like to hang out as well. And they get you even with such a small window of opportunity? Now Im no police detective, but it sounds to me like there's a good chance it was planned ahead of time. Who called you? Did this person know you'd have your new stuff with you?

i think it was a movie parking lot. or theater, whtever.
he went to see a mooovie.

It went down like this.

-He called me while i was getting ready to go on a date with my girl

-He came over and i helped him load his stuff

-He was with our friend greg that came over and had a smoke with us and then we all split ways.

-Greg went to go hang out with his friend

-Twisztdpunishment went to hang out with our friend casey.

-I went to the movies with my girl but decided to skip the movie and just eat and talk

-Twisztd txts me saying him and casey are at the movies too.

-We meet up and chill together for like 2-3 hours i think

-We both leave to our cars(parked in opposite lots)

-I get a call from twisztd saying everything is gone from his car

-I drive over fast as hell to see whats up. I pull up and his door pannels and everything was trashed and missing, papers and stuff all over the place

-My girl and casey go look for security

-Me and twisztd call the cops and tell us its a 3-4 hour wait

-We clean up, twisztd drives home, casey(parked right next to him in a mercedes) goes home, and I go drop off my girl and go home

-We Get on CA.com and make this thread

-Cops go to twisztd's house in the morning to make report

-We knew greg was at his friend house

-I was at the movies

-And no one knew casey and twisztd were going to the movies untill they were there

sounds like just plain bad luck (and a bad move leaving all that stuff in the car)...I've seen numeroud times where people around here walk through lots just looking in cars for something easy to steal...they must've looked inside yours and thought it was a gold mine with all that stuff sitting there in boxes or whatever...tough way to learn a lesson but next time take the crap home first (none of my friends are worth hanging out with with that kind of stuff sitting in my truck).

It was Greg. He's the only one that could have pulled that off. I'm sure he was in the car at one point. the OP was set up, but he doesn't want to believe it.

lol... twisztd told me he went and talked to the movie's security a few days ago and they said he wasn't the only car that was hit that night.. im thinking it was more of a large group of people going to smash and grab whatever they could in a few min and take off with thousands in equipment. Seems like a big planned operation imo but I know for fact it wasnt any of our close friends.

No news yet but hopefully they find something
