I hate AT&Ts automated phone system

ATT: Can you please tell me your account number, or say "I don't have one" if you don't have service with us

Me: I dont have one

ATT: Sorry, I didn't understand. Please say your account number...

Me: I... Don't... have... one...

ATT: Did you say you don't have one?

Me: Yes.

ATT: Ok, please give me your account number or say...

Me: I DONT HAVE ONE

ATT: I need your account number to pull your information to better serve you.

Me: I DON'T ******* HAVE ONE!

ATT: Ok, you don't have one. What service are you interested in?

Me: U-verse

ATT: Say Bill information, Upgrade service, pay bill....

*Hangs up*

 
Didn't even give me the option for 0. I thought about it after i hung up but decided the phone system was so ****** I wasn't going to try to get info anymore.
I don't even wait for the option to press 0 anymore lol I just keep pressing it until I speak to a real person. Customer service is really dying. I went to a credit union to open an account and there was nobody there to greet me. Just a computer to sign in and then you have to go sit and wait. Businesses are really underestimating the importance of good customer service. A lot of people don't mind paying a little more for something if the customer service is good.

 
Or even if their online self service was good enough... To my understanding what the online self service said was not available for me... their customer rep in chat said i was. So it's like wtf?

And yes I agree with you. Customer service is king.
