a friend of mine has a pair of Kove audio armageddon u2 series 12" sub, 1000watts rms. one of them plays but rattles a little. is it worth to get these fixed? it cost $120.00 or so to get it refurb!. or is it just paper weight now? would it be dumb to try and sell it as is?

here is a pic.

i have an RFP-3410 only 200watts RMS. i got video of this one dieing from an 800rms basuka amp. hehe. anyways, would that one still be worth some thing too. or nothing. how can i post video here?

the kove is at my friends house. but i have pushed it before and it goes in and out just fine.

now what would i be looking for when using the dmm on it. it plays so there is continuity.

but seriously - use a DMM to find if the coil(s) are blown, and then if they are, call up RE and see if they can recone it for you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

frankenwoofers are pretty nifty.
