I was driving around yesterday looking for a new car to build or restore and I saw a Bronco and a ***** Am parked next to each other on the side of the road. So I pulled over to check them out.
Next thing I know there is an older body style Oldsmobile pulling up beside my Expedition so I start walking back toward my truck, dude jumps out of his car and pulls a gun on me...and points it right at my face and tells me to give him my money.

I didn't say a word, and I really thought this guy was going to kill me I handed him my wallet and he took off and I jumped in my truck got my phone and called 911 they had to TRANSFER ME to a different center and it took over 2 minutes for them to transfer me and get someone on the phone. So dude got away with my ENTIRE WALLET

all my casino cards, 3 debit cards, 2 credit cards, 1200 bucks in cash...my lisence EVERYTHING

All last night every bump I heard in my house I was scared shitless, I slept with my .30-06 laying next to my bed and even went outside and checked a few times when the dogs started barking.....its the worst feeling in the world to know that this guy could have taken my life

Which is exactly why I'll be carrying a gun when I get my CCW. Keep in mind that **** head knows where you live. He also can maybe guess you have money since you had $1200 in cash. Consider yourself very lucky.

That sucks, really bad man. The credit/debit cards can be reported, sucks about losing all that cash, what really would bother me is they have your ID with your address.

Get a permit to carry a concealed weapon, never know these days. I wish it wasn't 21 years or older to carry concealed, or I'd carry one.

ya know thats alot easier to say then do.

I can talk real big about grabbing the gun then doing a Chuck Norris kick and killing him...but fact is I realized I'm a ***** when it comes to me dying.

My life is worth a lot more then 1200 dollars...

Also to the guys taking pictures of all the cash....you aren't real ballers....if you have money you don't take pictures of it to prove to people online

You did the absolute correct thing man, and sorry that shit happened to you...The one thing i have to say is that you wouldn't have wanted to have a gun with you at that time, it would have done you no good unless you are trained to be alert of your surroundings at all times and knew how to take defensive action correctly...

If you would have tried for your gun in a defensive situation like that without training, you would have most likely been shot and real good chance you would have been killed...And once the guy had run off, if you would have pulled your weapon and shot him, you would be in jail, because you were out of danger so by law you were not protecting your life...

like i said, better you didn't have a gun, unless you are willing to go to self defense classes, and practice shooting and get a CCW(carry concealed weapon)

The one smart thing I heard kove say was bullets don't hurt...J/K no the 1 thing was that you never keep money in your wallet... Also never have that much cash on you ever!!! Always have a cashiers check or some other form of traceable currency instead of cash and keep it in your sock or etc... like one dude said, theives never pat you down and search you they are there for quick and easy...

for sure, i'm going to get a ccw just in case something similar happens in my vehicle or if someone else tries the same thing and the situation is just a little different.

If I ever have the need to have that much cash on me again I'm going to keep it in my truck in a dvd case or something out of the way and just keep a few bucks on me. But whose to say if I pulled out my wallet and it was totally empty it wouldn't have pissed the dude off and him shot me anyway?

You were extremely lucky, and there is nothing saying that they wouldn't shoot you if your wallet was empty or filled with cash, its the individual and noone can say what someone else will do...All you can do is learn how to keep your self out of situations like that and what to do if you find yourself in that situation without a way to escape...

You did the right thing by giving it up and just calling the police. Money can be replaced, so can the cards and everything else.
