My bank charges me for loosing my card. I needed a new card a while back anyway b/c the card was worn out and it didn't always work right, I guess the magnetic strip was worn. So I tell them I lost it but I needed a new one anyway and they say that'll cost you $10. Then I tell them it was bad anyhow. I guess they didn't care. Found it a week or two later. The reason they charge is b/c they have to issue you a different number....there is no charge if you keep the same number.

So, I go to the bank to deposit my check, and ask the lady how I would go about getting a new debit card. My card is about 6 years old and half of it has peeled off and worn out. So, she goes, go over there and they can take care of it for you. She also tells me if I tell them I lost it, I don't have to pay for a new one.
So, I go over and a lady helps me out. I tell her I would like a new debit card. She asks me if I lost the card, and I say yes. She goes through the procedure of getting me a new card, and as we finish up she says 'I'm gonna go ahead and lock this card so there won't be any fraudulent use', speaking of the old, 'lost' card.

So, now I can't get money unless I go to the bank when it's open and withdraw money. Can't use the ATM. Can't use my debit card. For 7-10 days.
