So. Here is the story.... No i did not steal anything!

So I'm a senior in high school, applied to colleges, Gonzaga, Western Washington, UW, WSU. I've been filling out scholarships and such, and I also was filling out a FASFA (which is basically an application for federal money for education).

It's asking me how much I made exactly, and how much I am paying in taxes this year, but I can't figure out the latter until I receive my W2. I only had one job last year, but quit in May.

No biggie right? I mean, they are supposedly mailed out by today, and I will get it soon.

The deadline for the FAFSA is tomorrow. So basically, by some luck of chance, my W2 will take one day to arrive, otherwise, I get no federal aid. I can't BS it, because that is fraud.

I did. They told me to wait by the mailbox.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that at the very most, I made about 700 dollars. I mean, I barely had any hours at a minimum wage job, and they want to know my finances.

I don't really get it, because i would say 99.9% of 16-18 year olds make basically nill, so I have no idea why the hell we need to put this info in there. I can understand parents info, but not mine.

You cannot submit it without that information. If I make things up it is fraud. If I cannot get my W2 from my employer (or at least the info i need by tomorrow) I will have to contact the Department of Education.

I thought you had to make a certain amount or it didnt matter (somewhere around 1800). May have been the 10-99 I heard that about.

well the application for FAFSA doesn't really tell you shit. The "live chat" is a link to a pop-up website that tells you what you can talk about in live chat, but they don't provide a link to get to the actual live chat.

12,000 FUCKING DOLLARS just kissed me goodbye. That + any other grants I could have received.

if possible try to find your last pay check stub. if found all the information you need from your W2 is there, except for the control number and employer fed-id #.

yeah i've been looking for it, but the way they ****ing do it, it doesn't tell the date. Or describe what the numbers mean. I mean, I can piece the numbers together, but the date I don't know.

So even if i did find it, I wouldn't know if it was the right one.

you can submit a FAFSA without that info, and go back and fill it in online later. I did it my first year in college. Oh, and the due date of tomorrow for your FAFSA is just for early admission. You can fill it out any time you want. I filled mine out for 2004 I think in July as I wasn't sure if I was going back to school that fall.

well if you reemmbered how much you got for your last paycheck it should be easy. usualy the smallest check if you did not work your full hours. a good memory of a time line to where you recall leaving the place of employment would be good.

hell i remember when i left first job that was 7 years ago. month and date.
