I wouldn't expect much more from the driver of a sporty taurus.
You bought it because you wanted to look like you were driving a fast car, but your parents wouldn't cough up the dough for the GT. Possibly because they weren't confident in your driving skills/knowledge. I applaud them.
And yes, you'd probably like it much better if it were a 4 cylnder.
