I have about 9 years eBay experience, that is NOT LIGIT. I have never actually seen scamming pulled that way before, but its pretty smart. He is using a phished paypal account to try to pay for the item and then have it shipped to him in nigeria. Then when the account owner notices the amount will be charged back and you will be out of your $125.00 and your PS2.
DO NOT FALL FOR IT.

Just another reason to only ship to VERIFIED PayPal account addresses.

Yep..about 3 years ago when I was selling my Soundstream XTA 720.4 on ebay with a Buy it now price of 200 or something like that, I get an email from someone who is offering me 800 bucks. Why would they pay waaaaaaaaay over retail, it doesnt make sense. At first I emailed them to get more info and whatnot and they never replied. I wasnt gonna go on with the transaction, but I would have reported it.

Na, they said 800 US Dollars...I believe they also said 800,00 not 800.00. Either way, it was a scam...they all sound the same and write the same. It's so easy to point out nowadays. the only way they will get someone is if they are completely stupid and have never heard of a scam.

lol this is the nigerian scam. I'm surprised you didn't know about this. It's been going on for a very long time.
Their are some variations, but ALWAYS, ALWAYS, will he say he will send immediate payment and after that you must immediately ship the item to his location using the shipping company he (sometimes) has vouchers for.

The very smart scammers will offer you a higher price, then tell paypal you scammed them and they gave you too much money on accident and wont get it back. You'll get no money, no product, and you'll be screwed.

Somebody tried to do this to me on craigslist. I went along with it and asked for their shipping address, and then gave it to the cops.

someone tried to scam me into buying their audi on craigslist, i think its funny
