That car is worth no more than $500. Mine is in pristine shape with less than 100K on the engine and transmission, and I doubt I could get $1,000 for it.

1991 fully optioned (non-sho) taurus in pristine condition with 100k miles books for $2,360. This one was in horrible shape so it can't value high at all. Unfortunately if my insurance has to pay out over a grand my rates go up.

Thank goodness. It kinda looks like it might be one of those 2wd lifted trucks, but it's not. I hate those. That truck looks really good.

I would love to have an older Taurus SHO. Buddy has one and has done quite a bit of work to it and is very nice. Even from the factory, they could get up and go decently.

Wonder what they would value the car at. I guarantee a new fender, bumper cover, paint, and turn signal cover will run over a grand easy. The dent in the fender by the door wasn't mine but I did add one towards the front of the fender so I'm sure that would get replaced.

Meh, they don't always total a car out.........if anything, they will use used parts. That is what they did to my wifes car that had over 3800 in damage. So they just went with used parts and fixed it, unless they couldn't find any, then it was new parts, but they will check to do that first to see if it doesent exceed the amount. So take that into consideration too.

i give ya props for actually leaving a note and not just leaving. Had that happen to me and i was pissed as **** come out see my mirror hanging off and the glass on the floor. no note or nothing. a witness actually stuck around to tell me what kind of car it was.

i did the same thing about 2 years ago. i pulled in to a spot i got boxed in went to back out and i cut the wheel to soon and took some paint off this womans side of her car no big deal. i had this old woman run to my car screamin i seen u i seen u dont leave i had to tell this woman to stfu. u did the right thing . i say if some one seen u u gota stick around or leave a note or somthing. if there no one around u leave..

the car i hit was a woman from my bank she was the one that helped me out like 2 min befor i hit her car. i had to go in there and be like there this car out side and i hit it and the woman was like OMG omg..... i felt like kah kah.... it will work out fine bro ..

even if no one see's you, theres cameras EVERYWHERE these days.. Hate to get caught the hard way. Cops are generally a little more pissed when they have to find you.....
