I don't understand

Hello Guys,

I have something weird going on with my subwoofer. When the volume of the hu is low, the sub sometimes starts doing a weird rumbling sound/noise for a while(different rhythm from the bass on the song playing) , sometimes a goes away quick, sometimes it doesn't. Doesn't matter the song playing at the moment. The voltage and connections are ok.

What can be causing this? How to solve it?

could be a bad rca ,bad deck , or bad amp creating interference that you are hearing thru the sub

What does the bad deck mean?

Also, why is this randomly happening?

And most of the times it stops doing it when I raise the volume on my hu, any reason why?

maybe one of the internal rca grounds broke loose ,it doesnt go away when you turn it up ,the music is just louder than the noise

It's prob related to your ground. Check your grounds and inspect all your connections

So, it's probably something else, because that rumbling does go away after few seconds that I raise the volume on the hu. Also I noticed that it almost always does that rumbling when the hu is off and the amp is on.

So, your saying that it should be an issue through the line of the rca wire and/or connection, or bad ground on the bass amp?

Why is the amp ever on when the head unit is off? Do you have a factory head unit with the signal running through an LOC?

possibly a loose connection in the amp.if you have another amp ,try swapping them out and see if the noise is still there

Well, to be honest, that connection stayed there from when I had the stock radio.
