Hey I've currently got an alpine 9805 in my gmc sierra. The truck has cdt components with 125x2 crystal amp and 2 10" ID v3s on a jbl 600.1. I'm looking for great sq that can play radio clear, cdrs mp3s that good stuff. Not worried about ipod controls at all. I'm told the higher the voltage the better. My price range is low 200s. A lot of people keep recommending the kenwood excelon series to me but for some reason those just seem really dang ugly lol. Anyways I came across the eclipse 8445s on ebay and they look really good but i've heard there are a lot of reliability issues with those? Any suggestions? I've searched and i'm just getting myself confused. thanks for any advice

I think its between the eclipse 8445 and the kenwood excelon 889......... hmm both have red button lights right? can u upload pictures to the screen on both?

I have the X889 and it is a nice HU. Paid 220.00 shipped new for it.

where did u get it for that price? How do the red buttons and stuff look and can u put decent digi cam pics on it? thanks man

you should be able to switch the kenwoods buttons from green to red, if they still do that

I bought it from http://www.buyeretail.com. I like the display and the colors. The lights around the dials are blue and the buttons and such are red. Not sure if you can change the colors on this one (I still have alot of reading to do to find out what everything does).
