My frikkin car is pissing me off. First problem was a couple months ago, bearing went out in the motor, so i had to replace it: $3,000. Then i got in my car the other day and i wouldn't go into 5th gear, the synchronizer went bad, another $700+. I know it probably doesn't sound like alot to some of you guys, but when you are 17 and have to go to school thats alot of d@mn money...

And i was wondering, does this stuff happen often or do i just have the worst of luck?

Yeah I hear that man.I`ve got 1 more payment on my jeep.So my dashlights decided it`s a good time to go out.Fuses check out all good. Its getting power but no lights. And now my death wobble came back.I cant go past 55 right now without the entire front end going into convoltions*sp?*Thank God i get payed saturday and also have another vehical to fall back on.

welcome to the joys & responsibilities of owning a car. My advice: learn how to repair & maintain it yourself.

There is very little reason that a main bearing would just spinout. You have to have failed component somewhere. Usually, there is a reason that components fail.

And what did you drop 3 grand on? Just having the old motor rebuilt? Man....for less $$ than that you could've gotten a ready-to-go crate motor from GM Motorsports (out of Jeg's or another similiar source) that would be considerably stronger than the stock 5.7L in that Z28. (This is assuming that your motor was stock or somewhere near it...)

No, the motor wasn't exactly stock...And i did buy a new motor, but most of the money came from having someone else put it in...

What would make it spinout then? And i can maintain it for the most part.., but taking a transmission apart when u have football practice and have to work everyday isn't happening

Funny i've never had a problem with my FORD "PUSSTANG"
sucker.
Hey dipshit look at how old his is and how old yours is, little bit of a difference there smart one. Sad thing is that he could be on 4cyl and still **** you...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

i figure that with my bad luck with cars over the years. every car i have owned has taken a fat s**t on me more than once. i said f**k it, i going to school next summer to be a mechanic. i mean how many people hear have had there f**king driver side front wheel fall off there f**king car. what the f**k is that! im just doomed in life.

OK today there is a new problem with my POS...i go out side to go to school today, the FIRST day of my senior year and the car wont start, i turn the key over and it clicks, it wont even jump start. I got my girlfriend to bring me home and we went to autozone and i got a new battery and put it in, same thing....Does anybody know what my problem could be?
