the army isn't for everyone. I joined when i was 17. If I waited til I was 18 I might have changed my mind, but who knows. Basic training wasn't that hard if that's what you are talking about. Being in Iraq for a whole year away from everying that you know; now that is the hardest thing I've ever done!

from what you guys have said, I think i'm gonna go with the d2's. I know you have to buy the magnums from their site, but where is the best place to buy them. As far as components go, most of you say to go for the utopias. They have titanium tweeters. From what i've read in the forums, i thought silk was better for sound quality, or does it really matter?

Also, what amp recomendations do you have for this setup.

i looked on the stereointegrity website and seen that they recoment 0.5-1.5 cubic feet for a sealed enclosure. What are the behavior differences between a smaller and larger sealed enclosure?

Silk tweeters are not as bright. Bright = Harsh treble.

Bigger sealed would still sound just as good it would just have the low end extension you would need. If that's what you are going for. Personally with the subs you have picked I would port them. 5 cuft before displacement tuned around 30 HZ. They will still sound gret just have the umphh to the low end...

Ok, for me, I really don't like the sound of ported boxes. It just can't compare to the solid bass hits of a sealed box. If you want SQ, I strongly recommend a selaed box.

The K2P's is one of the new speakers of the K2 power line of focal's. The Utopia line is their top of the line speakers.

I heard the the new K2 line sounded better than the old utopia line, i think focal are still designing a new utopia line hopefully we'll see this year. I recommend that you get your focal speakers from an authorized dealer in your area so you get a warranty on it. I don't know one internet store that is authorized to sell them. I can check for you though.
