I had a customer come down today to drop off some of the parts to prep for his HU install tomorrow. The car..2005 Infiniti G35, so dash kits are not easily obtainable and the work isnt a quick in&out job. New climate control, desolder button/resistor/LED from old climate control resolder them onto new board,etc..

The HU going in..Eclipse CD7000.

Ok, all is good. EXCEPT he HAS to have an EQ below the HU. Why? Not to use, but for the lights. Which unit did he choose? Have a looksie...

Now dont get me wrong, Ive done work on this guys carS in the past. He is truly one of the easy going gentleman that doesnt BS about pricing,timing,etc Simply put: my ideal customer. But I just could not shake him from the idea of putting this thing in.

Do you think you'd be able to talk him into some other type of bling? Maybe a small LCD monitor? I've seen LCD displays that are roughly the same size as that EQ in custom computer cases.

I tried. I tried pretty much everything. The bling on the HU isnt enough for him and he likes the S/A. WOrst part is he already has Navi as well. So there should be plenty for him to look at....

why not hook it up with a bad ground spot so it feedbacks like crazy and blame the pyle-o-crap and show him so you have to pull it out?. it's not dishonest it's saving him from himself, he'll thank you in the long run.
