I blew an alternator-can anyone tell me what I need to power my system?

I recently bought a new system which consists of two 12's and a 1200w amp. I have a 98 Honda Accord and unfortuanitly did not realize that the alternators in Honda's are extremely small. Within a month my alternator was shot and it cost me a good $300 to replace the alternator. I have been told it is VERY expensive to upgrade alternators (I had the same size alternator put back in). My question is what exactly should I use to power my audio system? I do not know much about systems. Would I need a power cap? Would hooking up a seperate 12V battery do the job. Maybe doing both? As you can see, I am at a loss here...please help!

u can get a 200a alt for about that much from http://www.excessiveamperage.com ....basically they played you man
