The YFZ 450 is a good solid quad, good bike for a starter, the Raptor might not be haha $hit load of power!

Actually both, my girls dad has one and we do trails all the time and its PERFECT for the open desert, lots of low end, it is designed to be a MX quad though so IMO its great for both

if you dont want/need reverse i would get a yfz450 unless theres something out thats better as i havent been into the quad game for a while.

If you decide on a quad you should get a banshee.

You should also check out dirtbikes. I grew up on a bike and imo theyre way more fun than a quad.
