Weird...we got the same style doors. Well door panels.

Same exact doors and panels. All the same on pickups tahoes and suburbans, most all parts are interchangeable between them.

Just one question tho. Why is your ammeter/voltmeter mounted behind the seat? That's an unusual place for it. I've always seen them up on the dash somewhere.

I have one in ashtray with clip indicator for taramps and a switch so I can turn on and off stereo alts but that one in rear is a smart meter that is programable to shut down amps at a set high voltage and a set low voltage and it just happens to have a voltmeter too

is creating a tunnel for the speakers like in pics above better for midbass than just placing 1 ring putting cloth on top and laying resin on top to make the enclosure?

Ya I think so as it makes it semi sealed into the doors completely sealing off back waves and makes them very strong mounts too . I also completely deaden the the door skins inside and out and then used fiberglass panels incased in sheet plastic (ceiling tile) on the whole inside door skin to help cancel back waves then cover outside of door with CCf foam and Mlv under door panel so my mid bass rocks lol , it was a lot of work but worth it in the end. Also I went and bought another door so I could work on my workbench instead of trying to work on doors on the truck until I had it all figured out and pre made everything.

Is that some sort of pipe you used?

I've been sitting on a second pair of these and been meaning to take the plunge to get both in my doors somehow.

Yes 6" pvc sch 40 and cut a 6" coupler to make a ring for mounting flange and it worked out perfect then I glued and pipe into plywood with construction adhesive

Did it all by myself. Unlike someone else we know, I didn't have anyone nor pay someone to install my stuff. Custom amp rack, made from mdf.

I did my own install, by designing a car audio system which fit perfectly into my design criteria and farming out most of the actual work of installing everything just the way *I* wanted!!

Unless you design and build all your own car audio components you are blowing air out your A S S! We ALL farm out some of the work!
