I Am Done With Ebay!!

Fucking egay can **** my left nut! I got an email today from ebay saying someone opened an account using an anonymous email domain (hotmail, yahoo, etc) using my credit card. I checked my bank statement today (was going to pay some bills) and low and behold i see a pre-authorization for western union for $981 on my account putting me in the negative pretty bad. All this happened today!! I called western union and they said IT WAS GOING TO THE COUNTRY OF LITHUANIA!!!! So i told the lady what happened and she put a block on it (luckily it was pending til tuesday) so it ain't goin thru. I call my bank and report my card "stolen" tho i still have it. So now i won't have a card for another 2-3 weeks which means i have no means of money for lunch and gas for work for 2 weeks. fucking ghey. I also reported it to ebay using their contact us link but i don't know if it'll do anything. Sad thing is i just deposited my paycheck yesterday. This is the second card that's been stolen. i've done 4 transactions in the past couple weeks on ebay which i haven't used in a long time. I had a suspicious seller who just deleted his account shortly after i bought a dvd from him WHICH HAPPENED TO BE A BURNED DVD (copyright infringement and distrubition/resale without permission). and he had me use google checkout. never again. ever. i'm done with egay.

You **** at eBay. Ive done over 200 transactions, and only 2 times have i paid and gotten nothing but a refund 6 months later. Other than that, im sound as a pound. If they wanna use some other non-eBay checkout, I'll tell them I won't do it, and if they get pissy they can take it up with eBay.

well good for you. I've only used google checkout twice (once with an ebay seller and the other time with buy.com). every other transaction i've done has been through paypal. no MO's, no western union or anything else. so idk how the hell they got my info. i don't respond to those fake emails from paypal, ebay, hotmail, etc. i always go directly to the websites and check on it. and i haven't been using public computers either and no one's been in our house besides my parents and I. but whatever. i have too much tied into my account to risk having it happen a third time. if it goes well for you, then more power to you.

on another note, the ebay seller i bought beerfest from (burned dvd unfortunately and didn't mention in his ad) is issuing me a refund for the $10 i paid him. said refund reason was "DEFAULT_REASON" which i have no idea what that means (through google checkout). His ebay account was closed right after i bought from him. Thing is it's being charged back to my "stolen" credit card so what's gonna happen with the refund? (card's been cancelled too).

i went up to the bank yesterday and applied for a new card. i asked them and they said it'll do a non-post, then it'll post to my account (it's only $10 anyways). so it'll go through.

yeah, i never knew all the stress/hassle/effort you have to put into trying to get things cleared up and redone because of some ghey effing scammers who want your money and practically ruin your life. it would've taken me approximately a month or so of paychecks to get out of the hole on top of overdrawn charges i would've accrued and have my credit ruined due to not having money to pay my bills on time.

if its a bank card it will still go in your bank though the card is cancelled. I had a refund come in to a cancelled bankcard that some *** in france bought a camera with. and that wasnt ebay that was some *** that stol me info from buying from tiger direct's outlet store. They are really insecure. anyone with access to their computers can pull up creditcard info for previous purchases.

yeah i won't pay outside of paypal anymore. unless it's from an online store. that's secure.

i'm thinking someone got ahold of it through ebay.

my first card, i think someone got ahold of it through some online store that wasn't really secure. luckily that first time they just dialed an "entertainment line" and then hung up and didn't incure any charges.

at least western union was very helfpul in stopping that unauthorized payment. had we not cancelled my card saturday, the bank would've been out that money but i wouldn't be responsible for it. so i did save the bank almost $1000 as well as myself.

so for the next 2-3 weeks i have to write fuggin checks which blows. i hate checks.
