if you actually plan on making 300hp with that little 4 banger, you need to take into consideration if the internals and block can handle it, but also if the trans can handle that much torque that will be accompanying the 300hp. for example, my 88 mustangs factory t-5 trans can only handle about 300 ft-lbs, and i really can't even goose it now because i'm running about 350hp, 380ft-lbs(guesstimated). also, if you wanna go faster, get rid of all those lights and ricer crap and get more go fast parts. anyways, the block MAY be able to handle that kinda hp, but i'm pretty sure the internals aren't, unless it happens to come factory with forged everything. and also, in your original post, you said wanted to make 300hp without nitrous, but then in your list of parts you say at least 150hp, so are you going to use it or not?
