Hyundai tiburon 300hp??

if you actually plan on making 300hp with that little 4 banger, you need to take into consideration if the internals and block can handle it, but also if the trans can handle that much torque that will be accompanying the 300hp. for example, my 88 mustangs factory t-5 trans can only handle about 300 ft-lbs, and i really can't even goose it now because i'm running about 350hp, 380ft-lbs(guesstimated). also, if you wanna go faster, get rid of all those lights and ricer crap and get more go fast parts. anyways, the block MAY be able to handle that kinda hp, but i'm pretty sure the internals aren't, unless it happens to come factory with forged everything. and also, in your original post, you said wanted to make 300hp without nitrous, but then in your list of parts you say at least 150hp, so are you going to use it or not?

red top is around 2000-3000 for the "front clip" and probly free labor because u seem to know what ur doin...

find a 240sx in good shape with a trashed engine...look for an rb20det...should be around 3 grand for front clip, that's a nissan skyline engine so you should be pretty nice with that...sr20det are kinda rare to find...i was looking into this a little while back but ditched the idea, becaues both engines would cost way too much

dude a redtop or any of the silvia engines are gonna be easier to instal and find than a skyline engine.

but 240sx is the way to go

Id be carefull when buying a camaro if you were gunna get like a 3rd gen me and 2 of my friends all owned 3rd gens and all of our engines seized about a month apart from each other.

n e wayz if you want a car to make 300hp you should buy a eclipse. like the gts i think comes stock with around 230 then go get a chip made and a few little things like exhaust and maybe a few other mods and you can reach you 300hp goal

 
93 mustang lx, slicks, 4.10 gears, and nitrous, easily run mid 12's. 93 stang, ~3grand, $600 nitrous, $190 gears, $600 rear rims + slicks, total= about $4400. although that's rwd and not foreign, and this thread has alread decided that mustangs **** because there's too many of them. i don't see that as a bad thing though, all the parts are cheap. if you feel like making a car go fast simply because the parts are expensive and hard to come by, i won't stop you, but as an example, my friends cai was $240 for his 2003 mazdaspeed protege, and a cai for my 88 stang is $130. but if you were to go foreign, i vote 240sx, rwd, pretty good factory suspension, and fun to drift in.

Every other mustang I see is a newer generation driven by a valley girl or an older woman... All 6 cylinders usually also.

All the old skool ones are usually kept at home and treated like gold, as they **** well should be.

New body style is better for 2005, but the interior still blows - and it still hasn't done enough to shake that "I'm a girl car" phobia I've got about it - with good reason. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Nothing they've produced post 60's has made me feel good about the car - of course I say the same about the firebird and camaro too though.
