Howdy folks!! I wanna get your opinions on which 8" midbass driver I should put into my doors. I have a 2007 Dodge Charger that I have put a hell of a system in. I'm considering either the Dynaudio Esotec MV 172 woofer or the Hybrid Audio Technologies Legatia SE 8" woofer. My Arc Audio KS900.6 puts out 100 watts at 4 channels and 155 watts at two channels. The midbass woofers will be powered by the two channels at 155 watts. I listen to all types of metal music, but mainly thrash metal and death metal (for example, Metallica, Nile, Opeth, and Symphony X)
Here is my current system so far:
Head unit is a Kenwood KDCX-399 although I'll eventually upgrade it to something better later...probably something like the DDX9903S.
Front component speakers are a pair of Focal K2 power 165KRX2 with a pair of Focal K2 power 165KR2 in the rear.
In my doors I have Hertz HCX690 6x9 speakers although they will soon be replaced with an 8" midbass driver.
For amplifiers, I have an Arc Audio KS900.6 and a KS300.4 along with a Digital Designs M4b amplifier. I will eventually get rid of the KS300.4 and only keep the other two amps for the crazy trunk work I have in store.
For my subwoofers, I have 2 10" DD 9500 supercharged subwoofers with the Evolution Subwoofer Package. The subwoofer box will be made of 1" thick baltic birch with plexiglass in the rear and green LCD lights.
For my batteries, I have an optima yellow top for my car and a XS power D3100 battery for the system. I also have a Mechman 240 amp alternator and the big 3 has already been done. The car has already had the entire interior ripped out and sound deadened completely.
So what should I go with: the Hybrid Audio or the Dynaudio?
