HX-2 15s rebuild?

If its a power X2 then I would just rebuild it with new soft parts. If its the regular HX2 its still a good motor and basket to re use.

really the only thing you can do is rebuild them back as punch hx2. if u wanted to trying building a franken woofer style thing XXX motors arent the way to go. they are pricy and the design might give u issues

either get you a cheap motor thats bigger then the hx2 and see what you can do or just go out and buy something already. Unfortunately the basket is the cheapest part in the whole thing so yoru pretty much starting out with nothing

well whats wrong with the baskets?

is the design bad or something, and where would i get a recone kit from thats a direct drop in.

nothing is wrong with them at all. BUT the basket is really the cheapest part of the speaker. most people get the motor of one speaker then do a hybrid/frankenwoofer because it can be done and its cheaper then buying a new one. The 06+ XXX motor is a non conventional design so assuming u can find one its going to be expensive to make it work... so if you really want to do that you might as well just buy a XXX
