Hurricane Nuts?

Has anyone used them and had success? I'm considering getting some because my sub fit too tight and I stripped out the mdf trying to pull the sub down when screwing

I like the long-barrel t-nuts from PE. The ones with 6 prongs.

I've never really used the hurricane nuts though.

I can do that, but the problem is that I can't rotate my sub (L7). I'm stuck with the same screw holes.

I know I make my boxes so that my subs fit really tight, but I think that I got a little too carried away this time.

have you ever read the label on anything you screw? "do not over tighten"

so heres what you do.

line it up where you want them then make some markings. then predrill apply some glue or resin and hammer away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif dont forget to test fit before gluing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif then screw whatever needs screwing down until it feels tight enough no need to go Michael Jackson on screwing it tight

i suggest wood glue or resin so the bond gets absorbed in the wood. idk if epoxy soaks in...

That would be a really good objective experiment.

I think I'm going to get a bunch of different glues, and test them with t-nuts somehow...
