Dont sweat the deadner on the roof, sound deadening doesnt fall into the "no mods in front of b pillar" or people wouldnt be able to deaden their doors and rest of the cab. At least thats the way has been judged down here for awhile, you cant just do the deadening and not put the headliner back up though.
