humm from my amps

How high is the gain turned up? Sounds like the amp is either cranked in volume or you have an interconnect that is picking up noise. Your source unit could also produce idle "noise" but usually this is only audible at high volumes. Also sometimes "phono" inputs on some recievers tend to hum alot because of the higher gain utilized.

this occours @ 0 gain

i tried 3 pairs of rca's too

dont think its the cd plyer it never makes that noise

whts phono input?
