humm from my amps

i get this lil humm noise from my amp [ parts express 240 watt amp ]

whenever its on now for some reason it makes this hummm sound only on the sub tho.....

any idea's???

How high is the gain turned up? Sounds like the amp is either cranked in volume or you have an interconnect that is picking up noise. Your source unit could also produce idle "noise" but usually this is only audible at high volumes. Also sometimes "phono" inputs on some recievers tend to hum alot because of the higher gain utilized.

dont think its the cd plyer it never makes that noise

just tested it with the dvd for @ source....wow it w@s like @ sine w@ve dmn something is very very very wrong
