Read a specs on some of the models and 35hz?! frequence response is from 35-250hz. Why would it have a subsonic filter on it down to 15hz though. I ran a hifoncs 1606d and it hit nicely novice at the time it was an awesome amp i then purchased a mtx ta81001 and well the lows really came out of my l7s. question though is can the hifonics make those lows or is it really limited. I no longer have the 2 amps to play with and i was wanting to hear from my hifonics fans.

This is what i read

No, the frequency response would be the 15hz subsonic filter at the bottom, and the top of the sub frequency would be anywhere you want between 35hz and 250hz.

That "35hz to 250hz" is the low pass crossover, where the frequencies you set is the upper limit of your sub.

Yeah. I went from a hifonics 2608d to a saz2000d and I will never buy anything other then sundown.
Sorta same boat here...

I'm in the process of switching from the Hifonics 1500Ds to the Sundown 2000Ds... and a few 125.2s...

It will be a slow process as I can only afford to buy one every month or so as I don't want to charge them... Trying to get my **** C.C.s paid off...

Not really knockin the HiFoincs, I just think the Sundown looks to be a better amp...

You don't think Hifonics cheated by rating their amplifiers at the various power ratings from 35 to 250 Hz do you? They will probably play below 35 Hz, BUT, they will NEVER produce unclipped rated RMS power below 35 Hz no matter what the input voltage is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Then again, they are budget amps and should be thought of as such when purchasing.
