my neighbor has a jvc hu, not sure what model, but while it was playing, it just shut off, and we havent been able to turn it back on. i think it might have overheated, b/c all the wires are fine and attatched. we were playing it whith the car on so no power shortage. the amps also seem to get extremely hot after 5 min of playing his subs. he has a rockford amp, and a rockford punch he and an he2 i think. any ideas?

You may have blown a fuse. What kind of car is it?
umm, im not sure. it blue... lol. umm, i know that he has the fuses in the glovebox, and when i was there, he pulled them out and he said none looked blown. but then i saw something overtop his battery that had a cover over it and it had a layout of fuses printed on the cover, so he slightly lifted it up and looked and he said no fuses were in there, so all the ones in the glovebox are ok, i guess... ill take a pic and post it by editing this message... but youll only see the rear of it, c/ its across the street and they are workin on another one of theirs by using a cherry-picker to lift out a motor, and their fighting (funny funny, like always, hehe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif ) but yea::: here is the pic in a bit...:

There may be a fuse in the wiring harness, behind the headunit, that's blown.
what do u mean, you mean like an inline fuse? c/ there isnt one. there is only an inline fuse which is a 100a on the power wire to the 2 amps... not on the hu

p.s. click the link in my sig plz!!! it ends soon!

He means there might be a fuse in the deck it self not on the wire.

It should be right above or next to where the wire plugs into the back of the deck.

Sometimes there is a fuse on the back of the headunit right next to the wiring harness or you could of just crossed wires somewhere maybe but check all your wires again never know could of missed one if not that check your grounds and what wires are going where if not that try to pull out the wiring harness and plugging it back in it might reset the memory which might power it on
