HU that wont skip!

So I finally got the DD playing in my car sounds good and everything untill the HU I currently owns hits volume 30. It is a kenwood KDC-mp335 and does good for a little while then it will start skipping or cutting out. The only other time it does this is when I hit a large bump so I know its skipping. Now I am looking for another HU because this one really pisses me off. Not looking to spend over $270. Here are a couple Im looking at.

is it mounted securely?

i found that when my alpine was mounted in sub par way, any time i hit a bump it would skip. as soon as i mounted it securely so that it didnt budge from the mounting location, i could ****ing do jumps with my explorer and not skip a beat.

yea, my gf isnt having any luck with her pioneer...even when shes not driving at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif. then again it is a 3900 so its a lower line, but still. shouldnt skip at a stand still.

Im not sure but its really pissing me off. have all this bass sounds good for like ten secounds then click it all cut off and cut back on. its annoying as ****

i would try remounting it before i dropped more cash on another unit that just might skip when its mounted the same way.

I also meant that it skips when the bass hits really low. i dont have any trouble with skipping going down the road just when it drops

you said it skips when you hit a bump.

the bass could very well be shaking it just like a bump in the roads does.

I would try either an eclipse HU or high end Pioneer

i got an eclipse5100 and havent had any skipping problems as of yet

CD Changers have anti skip, or at least suspend the magazine with springs so it doesnt bump around.

same with in dash DVD players.

i use an ipod, and pull the HU oput to compete.

i was thinking about a tv but the good ones cost a penny but the higher model jensen look decent for like $500 or something
