no doubt. why the **** even waste money on the fusion? you could use that to be 50% closer to buying a battery, or something worthwhile.

well i mean if the POS kenwood wont play 5 secs with out cutting off what do i need a battery for? make it cut off worse...i mean the fusion may not work but i dont really like the kenwood but ill try to work on it tomorrow maybe put some sound deadner around it or try mouting it more secure...Ill let you guys know

Lets back up just a miniute here. There are various factors in skipping, cutting out ect. I have owned 2 Kenwood Excelons. The X-589, and currently the X-990. I have never had a issue with either one on them. One reason is a good install! Very important! I have hit some mighty big bumps out there with no problem. Any deck will skip if you hit a big enough bump with enough force. Obviously some decks are not very good with bumps. I had a sony like that. Excelons are solid, but you must make sure and do your part. If you are having volume issues you need to look at other equipment issues. There are always exceptions, but install is the key! i got an eclipse5100 and havent had any skipping problems as of yet

Eclipse 5000 here, and I have never had it skip on me. Same with my last Eclipse. Betwteen the two of those it has been so long since I had a HU skip that I thought it was no longer a problem for HU's in general.

I have a x791, it has NEVER skipped on me. Cheapish controls on not the most solid faceplate attachment. I'm happy with it though. Sound is great, can turn off the internal amp, ipod controls are great, and has a nice display.

Well its not like skipping like a scratched cd, and it doesnt skip when i hit bumps i was using that as an example. Its just when i turn it up and the bass vibrates the whole car it will start cutting out...like i hit a bump in the rode. Plus i think someone wants to buy it for $60 anyways but if you guys want it ill sel it for $65 thanks
