as far as budget goes, i wouldn't be against spending about 6-700.

EDIT: obviously, the less expensive the better, but willing to spend the $$$ for a good product

the HU that i have right now will be sold in my truck, along with the system that is currently in. basically, im just shopping around for equiptment that will be going in my next vehicle in about 2-3 months. nothing is set in stone yet, but i just enjoy searching and finding out more info.

as far as my goal for the system, its going to be decently loud. looking at doing 2 15'' L7's ported and the amps previously mentioned, along with 2 RS65.2 comp sets. its my daily driver and i just want a HU that will hold together well and still give me all of the necessary performance.

i'd look for 4v or better. read some reviews, and post up here with model # and we'll give our opinion

yes, not an SQ setup. ill keep looking though. any suggestions??

i dont know much about video decks. cant help much there...

edit: honestly, if i like the unit, i wouldn't let the output voltage be the only thing stopping me from getting it.

front, rear, sub preouts. mp3/wma/aac compatibility. screen resolution, warrantee, ipod, ease of use... the list goes on

so basically its all just general stuff. the higher res., the better. it needs to have out's for front/rear/sub, etc. etc. thanks fellas, lots of good help.
