HU problems

I have a clarion cd player. When tha car is turned off it will play anycd i throw at it usually with no problem, but when the engine is running it won't play some cd's. Its not just burned but some "normal" cd's too. Anybody got ideas? Also my cd player is turned on and off by the headlight switch in my car cause i have no ignitioon wire as i cannot find it on my car's pre cobbed factory wirng (that was rewired onto the factiory harness and then an adapter put on that to my cd player.

reguardless of the wiring the HU should play CDs. you should look into the mounting of the HU as the vibration from the motor running maybe be causing this.

check your mounting {vibration}---OR----- have the lens serviced

well how much is a lens servicing? and it stioll don't explain why they work with my engine off.

I not sure on the price for cleaning.... I don't know why it would work with the car off.. I was just thinking that the vibration is causing the laser not to track right....either cause the lens is dirty OR your radio is not mounted good CAUSING excess vibration

I'm going to re mount it and put xsome dynomat xtreme around tha holding area. maybe that will help. I also am going to run my lens cleaner thriough there asfew dozen times.
